Lamplighters 2014
The 2014 Lamplighters Annual Meeting will take place at the historic Marriott Grand Hotel near Point Clear Alabama on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay. The meeting will begin October 8, 2014 with a welcoming dinner and will conclude on October 11th.
Our program will include scientific and clinical sessions which will have presentations on the state of the art of Orthopaedic care and patient management. Our venue also includes significant historic and cultural venues that you will be able to experience while in the Mobile Bay area. Besides the scientific program we are planning a lively social program in keeping with the traditions of past Lamplighters’ meetings.
Among the historical and cultural areas of interest are the following:
1. Fairhope Alabama
2. Mobile Bay/USS Alabama
3. Nall Art Studio
4. Fort Morgan Civil War Site
The weather in Alabama, at the time of our meeting, is ideal. It averages in the upper 70’s during the day and the 60’s at night.
We are also planning on a post meeting trip in the area.
As our planning proceeds we will announce more meeting details and registration information. You will receive an email from the LOA Office. Watch for further updates emails on the meeting coming in January and February.
